T’s Textbooks in Alexandria is a unique high school textbook business. We specialise in supplying both second hand and new high school textbooks to students, teachers, tutors and schools.

The Position

We require multiple Casual Sales Assistants to be part of the T’s Team (this position tends to suit university students).

• We are primarily an eCommerce business, however customers can visit us by appointment (e.g. to Click & Collect their orders).

As we are a seasonal business, hours are likely to be (but can vary):

• Casual work 1 day per week from now until Early December: (Monday – Friday 10.00am – 5.00pm.)
• Full-time work from the beginning of December until mid-February: Weekdays 9.30am – 6.00pm (most likely 8 or 9pm in January) & Saturdays 9.30am - 5pm (January 6-7pm)
• There will be late nights and Sundays as required (however this year we didn’t need to work any Sundays)
• We will be closed (and you won’t be rostered on) between Christmas and New Year’s (24/12/2022 – 02/01/2022).

Please note: as we will be training you for this peak period you won’t be able to take holidays (outside our Christmas and New Year’s closure period).

Key responsibilities include:

• Internet, phone and email sales
• Order processing
• Stock pricing
• Receiving deliveries
• Shipping orders

• Cash handling
• And all customer service enquiries

Most sales assistants will be trained to process internet orders and in customer service, but there are some more warehousing focused roles available.

Position requirements:

• Applicants must have successfully completed their NSW HSC or must be Senior NSW high school students

• Excellent organisational, alphabetical/numerical, and computing skills
