Job Description

Our motel in Greenwich, Sydney is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations and ensuring excellent customer service to all guests. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel/motel operations, preferably in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the front desk team to ensure smooth operation of all front office functions, including reservations, check-in, check-out, guest services, and concierge services.
  • Ensure guests receive exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure all guest rooms are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for front desk operations.
  • Train and develop new front desk employees on hotel/motel policies and procedures, customer service standards, and software systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management, including occupancy reports, revenue reports, and guest feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all motel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel/motel operations, with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proficient in computer software systems, including Microsoft Office and hotel/motel management software.
  • Knowledge of local tourism attractions, restaurants, and events is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
